Electra commissions Ontario battery recycling demonstration plant
Electra Battery Materials is announcing the start of commissioning of its black mass recycling demonstration plant in Ontario, Kallanish reports.
The commissioning begins after the successful installation of material feed handling and lime delivery systems, two key circuits in Electra’s hydrometallurgical process to recycle end-of-life lithium-ion battery materials, the Ontario-based company says.
