EV market gains momentum in Russia, particularly Moscow
Russian electric vehicle fleet surpassed 39,000 new and second-hand units on 1 January 2024. Although the volume only corresponds to 0.1% of its passenger car fleet, it is rapidly increasing, Kallanish learns.
According to data from Russian analytics agency Autostat, there are currently 51.5 million cars registered in Russia, of which 39,100 are EVs. Yet, over the past six months their numbers have increased by 1.5 times, the agency says.
