Ford expands EV components R&D in the UK
US carmaker Ford said Wednesday it has expanded its electric vehicle R&D capabilities in the UK, with the opening of a third new laboratory to test EV powertrains, Kallanish reports.
The so-called Propulsion Development Laboratory, at its UK headquarters in Essex, was inaugurated with a visit from the UK transport minister Anthony Browne. The facility comprises eight vehicle-size rooms to test EV, hybrid and combustion powertrains.
