Glencore trades Russian copper to Italy via Turkey: report

Swiss commodity giant Glencore has reportedly traded over 5,000 tonnes of copper sheets produced in Russia to Italy via Turkey, as part of a plan to disguise EU dependence on Russian critical materials.   Citing customs documents and photographs, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday the sheets made by Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company (UMMC) were exported from Turkey to Italy’s Livorno port in July.
