LITHIUM: First Energy Metals to begin Augustus metallurgical testing
First Energy Metals says it has contracted with SGS Lakefield to begin metallurgical test work on samples from its Augustus lithium property in Quebec, Kallanish reports.
The goal is to develop a preliminary process to treat the spodumene-bearing lithium rock to conceptualise a flowsheet, to produce lithium concentrate and especially to generate a high-purity lithium carbonate product, the British Columbia-based company says.
