Origin gets the ball rolling for Australia’s largest battery project
Origin Energy said on Tuesday it is advancing plans to build Australia’s largest fixed storage battery at its Eraring Power Station in New South Wales, Kallanish reports.
The Australian energy company has invited suitably qualified firms to supply and install the 700-megawatt (MW) battery. It has also started the paperwork to ensure the facility is connected to the national grid, via the Eraring substation.
