PALLADIUM, COPPER: Companies ink precious metals deal at Marathon project
Wheaton Precious Metals and Generation Mining are entering a binding precious metals agreement in connection with Gen Mining’s Marathon palladium-copper project in northwest Ontario, Kallanish reports.
Wheaton will pay CAD 240 million ($187.1m) with CAD 40m up front to be used in construction of the Marathon project, in exchange for the gold and platinum stream from the project. The remainder will be paid in four installments during construction.
