Posco secures rare earth magnet orders from Europe, US
Posco International, the trading and energy arm of South Korean steel giant Posco, has secured rare earth permanent magnet orders from US and European automakers for their electric vehicle drive motor core production.
The company says that it is establishing a more diverse supply chain outside of China by using rare earth materials from the US, Australia, and Vietnam. The deals were done through subsidiaries in the US and Germany, Kallanish notes.
