Stadler sets world record for H2-powered train
Stadler announced Monday its hydrogen-powered train has achieved a Guinness World Record for the longest distance covered by a pilot hydrogen fuel cell electric train.
The Swiss railway manufacturer’s FLIRT H2 train began its journey on 20 March from a dedicated test ring in Colorado, US. It travelled 1,741.7 miles to complete the journey by 23 March, without refuelling or recharging, Kallanish learns from Stadler.
