Vale creates new company for base metals unit
Vale’s board has approved the reorganization of its base metals unit in Brazil, Kallanish learns from the miner.
The decision provides the transfer of Salobo copper operations and the Onça Puma nickel assets to a new company to be established by Vale in Brazil. Both copper and nickel units will continue to be wholly owned by the miner.
