Decision on Chinas rebate removal expected today
The Chinese rumour mill was heating up again over the last few days in expectation that a change to China’s steel export tax regime would be announced on 17 December. Talk has varied from all rebates being removed to no change, with a number of options in between. Whatever the decision, the rest of the world will have to prepare for another year of strong exports in 2015, Kallanish notes.
