OMK puts Chusovoy EAF and pipe complex on hold, as rouble devalues
Moscow-based United Metallurgical Company (OMK) is putting plans to build a meltshop and pipe-rolling complex at its Chusovoy site on hold, according to reports in the Russian press. The sharp devaluation of the rouble since July 2014 means that the main equipment, which was due to be paid for in foreign currency has become too expensive, according to Russian news agency, Vedomosti, quoting officials from OMK.
