Pipeline demand drives Russias Vyksa Steel Works output up 43% in Q1
Russia’s Vyksa Steel Works (VSW) produced over 520,000 tonnes of pipe in the first quarter, up 43% year-on-year. The output of railway wheels, however, declined 56% to 52,000 units, Kallanish learns from VSW’s parent company, flat steel and pipemaker United Metallurgical Company (OMK).
