Agha Steel begins delayed rolling mill commissioning
Pakistan’s Agha Steel Industries (ASIL) has finally begun the cold commissioning of its long-delayed Endless Casting Rolling MIDA mini-mill, supplied by Danieli in 2018.
The firm’s phase-2 expansion commissioning was delayed beyond its original March 2021 schedule due to Covid-19 restrictions preventing foreign engineers from travelling to Pakistan (see Kallanish passim).
The new mill will increase rebar capacity by 400,000 tonnes/year.…
