AK follows NAS' stainless price hike
US carbon and specialty steel producer AK Steel is upping its stainless base prices, echoing the move made last week by North American Stainless.
Effective with shipments beginning 1 March, AK will reduce the functional discount for its sheet, strip and skelp flat-rolled products by two percentage points, Kallanish learns from a company announcement.
