AK piles on to sheet hike
US steelmaker AK Steel has added its weight to the $30/short ton sheet increase kicked off by Nucor, Kallanish reports.
The increase is effectively immediately for new orders. The majority of US mills are now supporting the hike, though the market remains divided as to exactly how effective it will be.
