AK Steel raises sheet base prices
AK Steel has followed ArcelorMittal USA’s lead and upped its base prices for all carbon sheet products, Kallanish learns from a company announcement.
AK’s increase is a flat $60/short ton, effective immediately for all new orders. ArcelorMittal’s increase pushed the minimum base price for hot-rolled to $610/st and the minimum base price for cold-rolled and hot-dipped galvanized substrate to $800/st.
