AK Steel sees prices trending down in Q4
Carbon steel prices are likely to continue falling in the fourth quarter due to import pressure and weak raw material prices, US producer AK Steel says in its Q3 earnings review.
AK’s average Q3 selling price across both its carbon and specialty steel product lines was $912/short ton, down 2% from Q2 and 16% from Q3 2014, Kallanish reports.
