Aperam, Acerinox mull possible merger
French stainless flat steelmaker Aperam, part of ArcelorMittal, has confirmed to Kallanish it is in preliminary discussions with Acerinox over a possible combination of businesses.
However, “those discussions are at an early stage, and no agreement has been reached as to the scope, structure or terms of any possible transaction,” an Aperam spokesperson explains.
