Aperam finalises acquisition of ELG from Haniel
Stainless steel producer Aperam has completed the acquisition of ELG, the recycler of stainless steel and superalloys that hitherto belonged to German conglomerate Haniel.
Collecting, trading, processing and recycling stainless steel scrap and high-performance alloys, ELG delivers some 1.2 million tonnes/year of materials, employing 1,200 people in 51 locations in 20 countries. It is expected to generate adjusted Ebitda of about €65 million ($74m) in 2021, af…
