ArcelorMittal’s first-half US sales grow despite global weakness
ArcelorMittal’s first-half-of-2023 sales in Europe dropped significantly on-year, but revenue in the US grew, Kallanish notes.
Despite the weak global economic environment, the group’s US sales inched up 1% on-year in H1 to $4.81 billion. US GDP grew 2% on-year in the first quarter and accelerated to 2.4% in Q2, according to US Treasury figures.
