Argentina’s government implements steel reference prices
Argentina’s trade ministry and large local steelmakers Ternium and Acindar have signed an agreement to implement reference prices for steel supplies used in the construction sector. The commitment aims to provide predictability of prices for the most demanded materials following the post-Covid-19-recovery increase in input prices in the country, Kallanish notes.
The reference value of rebar is ARS 711.5 ($7.45) per 6mm x 12m and ARS 1,181 for 8mm x 12m.…
