Austria ramps up steel production in January
Austria’s steelmakers increased crude steel production in January compared with the previous month, according to worldsteel data.
Output amounted to 623,000 tonnes, up by 3% from December and 4.5% higher year-on-year, Kallanish notes. Austria climbed to 21st place in the ranking of top ten global steel producers in January, worldsteel data show.
