Baosteel profit surges in first quarter
Baowu Iron & Steel’s listed company Baosteel has reported 11.538 million tonnes of steel output over January to March, now including the output that was previously counted under Wuhan Iron & Steel‘s listed company Wisco. Based on first quarter output Baosteel estimates it could reach 46.152mt of output over the whole year. The steelmaker's profit also ballooned during the period, Kallanish notes.
