Baowu issues bonds to develop Simandou iron ore
China Baowu Steel Group will invest CNY 7 billion ($980 million) in the Simandou iron ore project after issuing CNY 10 billion bonds to professional investors in January. The Simandou project is expected to commission in 2026.
Kallanish understands that this is the first phase of Baowu's "One Belt, One Road" corporate bonds for technological innovation and low-carbon transformation and the maturities of bonds on offer includes 3 years and 5 years.
