Brazil’s March ferrous scrap exports dip further
Brazil saw ferrous scrap exports fall for a third consecutive month in March. Shipments were also weaker year-on-year, Kallanish notes. Imports, despite increasing, remained insignificant in the month.
According to the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic), scrap exports totalled 36,700 tonnes in March, a decrease of 50.5% compared with February and 48.7% less y-o-y.
