Brazil’s May scrap exports fall after record high
Brazil’s ferrous scrap exports slipped in May after reaching a 2.5-year high in April, Kallanish notes. Shipments, however, remained higher year-on-year.
According to the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic), scrap exports reached 56,600 tonnes in May, a fall of 25,800t compared to the previous month but 116.2% higher y-o-y.
