Brazil’s October scrap exports fall sequentially after record
Brazil’s ferrous scrap exports becalmed in October after achieving an 88-month high in the previous month. Shipments nevertheless remain higher year-on-year, Kallanish notes.
According to the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic), scrap exports reached 80,400 tonnes in October, compared with 98,300t in the previous month and 21,900t in the same period in 2022. This is the third-largest tonnage supplied abroad so far this year. …
