Chinas car production strikes positive note
Chinese automotive production and sales figures remained strong thanks to higher passenger car data in January despite fears of a fall from a strong December, according to the China Association of Automotive Manufacturers. Although automotive sales growth has slowed from its peak, it remains one of the fastest growing major steel consuming sectors in China, Kallanish notes.
