China steel output to fall -2.9% in 2016
China’s crude steel production is expected to fall -2.9% from 2015 to 783 million tonnes in 2016, Li Xinchuang, president of the China Metallurgical Industry Planning and Research Institute (MPI) told Kallanish on Wednesday. The fall is not going to be enough to bring down China’s steel exports significantly however, he adds.
