Chinese scrap falls further on reduced demand
Chinese scrap prices fell last week on a slowdown in steel mills' winter restocking.
On Friday, Kallanish assessed 6mm+ heavy scrap delivered to mills in eastern China's Yangtze River Delta at CNY 2,907/tonne ($404/t), including VAT. This is CNY 8/t lower from Thursday and down CNY 31/t from a week before.
