Chinese early-March long steel offers jump
Construction long steel offers from major eastern Chinese steelmakers have been hiked in the first ten days of March, Kallanish notes. At the beginning of March, Chinese construction steel prices were lifted by positive news.
In anticipation of Shagang's CNY 150/tonne ($23/t) rebar offer hike, the major mills increased prices by CNY 100/t (see table below). They will not provide any subsidy to their agents.
