BFs support Chinese scrap prices amid EAF stoppages

Chinese scrap prices were on the strong side last week, with blast furnace mills supporting scrap demand, while electric arc furnace mills will shut down again due to power cuts. On Friday, Kallanish assessed 6mm+ heavy scrap delivered to mills in eastern China's Yangtze River Delta at CNY 3,123/tonne ($463/t), including VAT.
