Chinese scrap prices fall in quiet market

Chinese scrap prices showed a continuous decline last week. The market has entered the holidays and rain and snow have affected transportation, China's scrap demand therefore has been suppressed. On Friday, Kallanish assessed 6mm+ heavy scrap delivered to mills in eastern China's Yangtze River Delta at CNY 2,908/tonne ($404/t), including VAT.
