Chinese scrap increases, mill arrivals jump

Chinese scrap market prices continued to grow last week, with weaker steel prices leading to a sharp recovery in scrap arrivals. On Friday, Kallanish assessed 6mm+ heavy scrap delivered to mills in eastern China's Yangtze River Delta at CNY 3,943/tonne ($619/t), including VAT.
