Chinese steel futures continue gentle downtick
Chinese steel futures continued to gently fall on Wednesday as the Chinese steel market in general continued its slow wind down into the New Year holiday.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange the May rebar contract closed at CNY 3,937/tonne ($628/t), CNY 23/t lower than Tuesday, while the same contract for hot rolled coil closed down CNY 6/t at CNY 4,012/t.
