Chinese steel futures dip further
Chinese steel futures dipped once again yesterday following Wednesday’s slump, with rebar futures falling over -2% and hot rolled coil moving slightly downwards by around -1% during the day.
With the first week of the traditional high demand season almost gone, actual market deals were also lower than expected. Spot market steel prices and the Tangshan billet price all decreased on 7 September, Kallanish notes.
