Chinese steel futures rise week-on-week
Chinese steel rebar futures continued to see-saw by rising on Wednesday in Shanghai while those for HRC settled higher for the second successive day. Both are higher than a week ago however, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange the May rebar contract closed at CNY 3,937/tonne ($618/t), CNY 22/t higher than on Wednesday while the same contract for hot rolled coil closed up CNY 42/t at CNY 3,939/t.
