Chinese steel futures slide again
Chinese steel futures dipped slightly on Wednesday. Both hot rolled coil and rebar futures prices flattened overnight, then surged in first trading hours but gradually slid away towards end of the day. On the spot market HRC purchases also trended down when futures began to weaken while rebar buying also slowed, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange the January 2018 rebar contract closed at CNY 3,914/tonne ($599.02/t), down CNY 9/t on the dā¦
