Chinese steel prices strengthen as output slides
Chinese steel prices continued to increase strongly on Wednesday as the market tried to make the most of low stocks and post-holiday buying. China’s steelmakers meanwhile were reducing output at the end of September but finished steel mill inventories were still up from August, Kallanish notes.
