Chinese steel prices strengthen but sunny season ending
Chinese steel prices increased strongly over the first week after the National Day holidays and many traders expect prices to continue to rise. As the demand balance weakens towards the end of the month and into winter, a fall in production would be necessary to sustain the higher prices however, Kallanish notes.
