CIS continues to increase crude steel output
CIS crude steel production increased in August, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish. Regional output amounted to 7.5 million tonnes, up by 10.7% year-on-year.
That total was higher than the volume seen in July, when CIS production was 7.4mt, up by 9.3% on-year (see Kallanish passim).
In January-August, output climbed by 0.8% on-year to 58.8mt.
