CIS steel output falls in January-June

CIS crude steel production decreased in June, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish. Regional output amounted to an estimated 5.9 million tonnes, down by 34.3% year-on-year. During the first six months of 2022, crude steel production was 43.6mt, down 18% on January-June 2021. Russian production in June is estimated to have been at 5mt, down by 22.2%.
