DOE funds AHSS research for US steelmakers
The US Department of Energy has awarded grants to an additional two US-based steelmakers to develop computer models for innovations in manufacturing advanced high-strength steel (AHSS), Kallanish reports. All companies will partner with the Lawrence Livermore National Lab in Livermore, California, making use of the lab’s supercomputer capabilities. The lab will recieve $300,000 for each project.
