Esmark drops bid for US Steel, citing union
Esmark now says it is withdrawing its bid to acquire US Steel, explaining that it has no intention of standing in the way of the United Steelworkers (USW) union members’ preference for their employer to merge with Cleveland-Cliffs instead.
