Harsco, AK deepen scrap ties
Industrial services company Harsco will be taking on more of AK Steel’s scrap management, Kallanish reports.
Harsco’s in-house ScrapMaster program will handle AK’s inbound scrap handling, inspection, preparation and hauling at the company’s Mansfield, Ohio, works. Harsco already provides scrap management services for AK’s Butler, Pennsylvania, mill.
Financial terms of the contract expansion were not disclosed.
