Hebei details capacity reduction plan for 2019-2020
Hebei Province has recently announced its capacity elimination target from 2018 to 2020. It plans to reduce steel capacity by over 10m t/y in 2018 (see related article), and to reduce around 10m t/y and 20m t/y in 2019 and 2020 respectively, local government says.
The government will cut the number of steel plants and companies to 79 and 62 respectively in 2019, with the steel capacity of Zhangjiakou and Langfang cities totally closed next year. In 202…
