Higher costs, lower shipments pull Insteel earnings down
Insteel Industries saw its fiscal second-quarter earnings fall from $5.9 million last year to $1m in fiscal Q2, Kallanish reports.
Insteel’s Q2 net sales of $111.9m represent an increase over $107.4m in Q2 2018, which was driven by a 21% increase in average selling prices and offset by a 13.9% decrease in shipments.
