Hyundai bids lower for Japanese scrap

South Korea’s Hyundai Steel has lowered its bid prices for Japanese scrap, Kallanish notes. This is the second time the Korean steelmaker has cut its scrap prices in nearly two weeks. The Korean steelmaker bid on Wednesday for Japanese H2 scrap at JPY 48,000/tonne ($332/t) and H1/H2 at JPY 48,500/t, down JPY 500/t from its previous purchase auction on 22 September.
