Hyundai bids higher for Japanese scrap
South Korea's Hyundai Steel has raised its bid prices for Japanese scrap, Kallanish notes.
The South Korean steelmaker's bid on 4 August for Japanese H2 scrap was at JPY 48,800/tonne ($342), up JPY 1,100/t from its previous auction on 13 July. It also bid for HS scrap at JPY 53,300/t, up JPY 800/t.
